When we first met Sarah and Shawn in our Gilbert Studio we knew they were going to be the perfect addition to The R2 Family. They were so dead set on being a part of our R2 Family that they changed their wedding date in order to make sure that we photographed their wedding. Since then, we have shot their super rad urban E-Sesh in downtown Phoenix, a Vogue Session in Flagstaff’s notorious haunted hotel, and now their wedding – complete with zombies and a quick dip in the pool. Curious??? This is one blog post  you don’t want to miss! Sarah and Shawn have become fast friends and we love them to death, which made photographing all of these events with them something that we looked forward to! We love these two!! Enjoy – Robin

Loved these shots of Shawn getting ready with his two boys. We had lots of great candid shots from these moment but these were some of our favorites.

Paper flowers are seeming to become a popular trend. When Sarah received her flowers she took it upon herself, with the help of a local florist, to enhance them with some ribbons and feathers. I think it was a great addition!

Love this funny photo that Renee got of Sarah “cleaning up” in the mirror in preparation for the first look. Talk about candid!

Loved these first look photos. As usual, Sarah was nervous up to this moment and then, once she saw Shawn all of those nerves vanished. That’s what we love about the first look.

Sarah’s mom had passed away several years ago and, in honor of her mom who was unable to attend, Sarah had a paper flower and a burning candle at the head of the aisle.

Bentley Projects is a venue right up the R2 alley!! WE love all of the brick and concrete and natural light. It was like a dream!! The photos turned out so killer!!

Atlasta Catering knocked it out of the park! The food was incredible.

Here it is! Sarah informed us about the 4th annual Phoenix Zombie Walk that was going to take place on her wedding night just a few blocks away from the wedding. So, of course we had to fit that in. There was blood and guts and crazy zombies everywhere!

While we were downtown we decided to just rock out a few shots in the city street, which was conveniently all blocked off.

More super fun candid photos from the cake cutting. So flattering, right!

We wrapped up the dance party at Bentley and headed back to the Clarendon Hotel where the biggest halloween party was going down!

We somehow convinced Sarah and Shawn (who was super worried about ruining his suit, which he totally did) to jump in the pool and we would take photos of it. So, the hotel gave them a 1,2,3 countown in front of everyone and just like that they were in the water!! Who does this crazy, cool stuff??? Oh, that’s right, Sarah and Shawn do!!
