We were so excited for Ella and Sergey’s winter engagement session in Flagstaff. We had it all planned out to get together for the first big winter snowstorm in Flagstaff. We were going to do sledding and hot chocolate and all sorts of fun wintery Flagstaff things in their backyard. However, this “winter” in Flagstaff everyone is wondering where winter is! It snowed right before Thanksgiving and, after that, when we usually get tons of snow, it has been as warm as spring and dry as a bone.
So, where do we go to get the fun, wintery, snowy photos that Ella and Sergey had their hearts set on? Why to Snowbowl, of course!! So, off we went up to the ski area of Snowbowl where even they were scarce on the fluffy white stuff. The weather was gorgeous, they brought their “craig’s list” sled, and we did our best to pretend we were in a winter wonderland.
After Snowbowl we took off, back down the mountain, to historic downtown Flagstaff to rock out some of our favorite, urban inspired, signature R2 photos. These two are so cute and fun to work with and such amazing sports given the slight weather mishap. We wrapped up their session in front of the Weatherford Hotel, which left us wishing for more time with these awesome people! I think a date for drinks may be in the near future! Daaaaaang they are smokin!
These photos were taken in a parking lot that is usually packed with cars. In fact, I can’t remember a time that I have ever seen it empty. We walked up and noticed that it was conveniently empty and wanted to take advantage of this awesome wide shot. I think Sergey was getting a little jealous that he didn’t get to pose all cute and sexy like Ella. So, we made sure to get a photo of him rockin’ out his model pose.
