Robin and I haven’t always been Flagstaff engagement photographers. In my former life I was a nurse and had a bunch of little baby chicks. At least that’s what I called them. I was a CNA instructor to some amazing students and Michelle was one of them! Not only is her personality infectious, she has the sweetest heart and is less than a year from becoming a RN herself. So, when Michelle and David got engaged and she called us to photograph her wedding, you could say I was overly excited!
Michelle REALLY wanted snow pics. We warned her the snow was melting but we still managed to capture some amazing pictures up at Snowbowl, Flagstaffs ski resort.
After Snowbowl we started their concept themed E-Sesh. Michelle & David met for the first time at The Museum Club – Flagstaff’s coolest country bar. There is a lot of history at the Museum Club. Such acts as Willie Neslon used to play there back in the day when Route 66 was actually a really big deal.
From then on, it was history and they never looked back. So when they told us they wanted a few pictures there, we got our brain rolling and decided to take advantage of the bar and theme their shoot around their first date.
Their shot of choice….Jim Beam! It doesn’t get more country than that!
Hot…Hot….Hot…
On our way out-David really wanted a picture with Mt. Elden in the back. On the day of their proposal, they hiked 3 miles up to the top where their proposal happened. We love when our grooms are so involved in the shoot and give their opinions. We think these shots are so sentimental and is a great detail in their story.
The R2 Studio LOVES concept engagement sessions! We can do so much with one idea and make it into a whole story that is completely unique….Michelle & David’s happen to be one of our new favs. To see their complete picture gallery click HERE.
Their wedding will take place in Tucson next year and we can not wait to capture their day…I am quite certain it will be full of cowboy boots, shots, and dancing!
Until next time,
