Meet Jill & Ryan!  Jill is the more outgoing of the two, knows what she wants, and is crazy organized.  Like seriously!  She pulled off an amazing wedding down to the color coded timeline.  Ryan is the quieter of the two, let Jill plan the wedding of her dreams, and busted out with craziness when the song “Africa” played at his reception! There wedding was based around family, friends, traditions and the un-traditional.  Enjoy your private little glimpse into their wedding.

Jill was all about the bling…rings, watches, earrings, more rings.  The blue ring on the left was passed down from her Grandmother.  Jill wore this as her something blue.

Alright-so Ryan sent over this lovely package to Jill while she was getting ready.  When she opened it, she realized it was a family heirloom from Ryan’s family….his Grandmothers watch.

Jill and Ryan opted NOT to do a first look, however Jill really wanted to talk to Ryan.  We set up the shot above at Jill’s favorite door at the golf resort.

I am a sucker for succulents, so when I saw this bouquet I went camera happy.

So handsome getting ready for his bride to walk down the aisle!

Jill really wanted a “seashell” set up for her wedding like you saw in the first picture.  The staff was out there determined to get it right just for Jill!  We are so glad they did because it gave us full range to move around without being in anyone’s way, all while capturing the emotions of the wedding. They did an amazing job and we could not have been happier to shoot their wedding with this set up.

Instead of unity candle, or sand, Jill & Ryan chose to do a unity “shot” of a John Daly.  Both of their moms came up and mixed the drinks for them while they indulged in front of their guests.

Jill found this funky little bridge and it was calling our name.  This was our first spot we used to photograph the newlyweds.

The clouds were rolling in all day.  Makes for beautiful photos, but nervous brides :)  As soon as we finished up these shots and got in the car, rain. I think R2 has some kind of magical powers-we hold off rain until we say we are ready! (SERIOUSLY)

Being the detail queen that I am, I was so excited when I entered into the reception area. I was quite in a panic when I found out I had 5 minutes to shoot the entire room before they brought in the guest-but I worked my mad skills.  Check out the details!

J & R did a family wedding picture table.  This was so crazy cool! It spanned back to great-great-grandparents all the way to her sisters-in-laws wedding earlier this year!  Great idea!

Check out the butt tap!

LOVE father/daughter-mother/son dances.  Someone is guaranteed to cry!

PARTY!!!

Being that we do most weddings in Phoenix, it was such a nice change to spend our weekend in Flagstaff capturing Jill & Ryans wedding!  We wish you both the best and can’t wait to see pics from your honeymoon in Costa Rica!
