I am SO excited about this blog post. We had really been looking forward to Kali and Chris’s wedding. They came all the way from Minnesota to get married in Sedona, a place that they visited and fell in love with. We had the privilege of meeting them one year ago almost exactly for their Jerome E-sesh. After that they headed back to MN leaving us so anxious to see them again. Their day was fabulous from beginning to end. They were surrounded by closest friends and family who also traveled to AZ to join them on this amazing day. The weather was beautiful and Kali and Chris both looked like they stepped right out of a magazine. What more could we ask for as photographers? OH!, I know, for our couples to be sooo into their photos, that it’s practically all they can think about (aside from the “I’m about to marry the person of my dreams” part haha). This was totally the case with Kali and Chris. They let us do “our thing” and their photos turned out so killer! Enjoy – Robin

I wish I had some video snippets of Kali. She has one of the most fun and bouncy personalities. SO, don’t let her amazing hair, makeup, and dress fool you. While, she totally knocked it out of the park, she would have been willing to mud wrestle if it meant that her wedding would be memorable and she would have super unique photos. She is so much fun to be around!

Kali had emailed her vows to herself while Chris had his locked safe into his phone. These two are so tech savvy!

Per request of Kali, I took the guys down to the gym at the hotel and made sure that Chris was all “pumped” for the first look.

OMG. Gorgeous!

Chris was such a rock star.

I love, love, love these first look shots! We found this quiet little hallway by the conference rooms with this great sunlight popping through the skylight. This was one of my favorite moments of the day.

Seeing as all of their friends and family traveled to Sedona, most of them never having seen the area before, Kali and Chris requested that we hike up to Bell Rock. Yep, I said HIKE. Keep in mind that this is all prior to the ceremony. Kali was ALL about having awesome photos and getting a little red rock dust on her dress didn’t bother her, which we thought was so fantastic! Aside from the I do’s, it’s all about the photos, right?? Haha, well, we like to think so!

How cool do these guys look?? Right?

As Kali’s dad brought her closer down the aisle to Chris, I could see that she was tearing up as she got closer and closer. I love the photo of her dad handing her off to Chris. There is just something so special about that moment.

Kali and Chris met ballroom dancing. They are both phenomenal dancers. It was so fitting to have their table center pieces named after specific styles of dance.

Chris carried Kali in for their grand entrance as family and friends crowded around to watch their first dance, which was one of the most amazing first dances (of course) that we have ever seen.

Prior to the wedding, Renee and I sent Kali and Chris a little gift. We found a book all about how to dance. Inside you could find dances such as the ladder dance (you can see Kali climbing the ladder in the picture above) and various types of other corny dances.  So, here they are, practicing more of their moves.

Towards the end of the night, they jumped in a conga line that then led to the dance floor where they were handed inflatable guitars provided by Chad, the DJ. Kali was all about the air guitar!

We had such an amazing time with these two and wish they lived a little closer than 1000+ miles away. Good thing they like Sedona. We are crossing our fingers that they come back to visit. Congrats to you both!
